My name is Karen McNabb and I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. I help women business owners and their families create financial independence.
In my former life I was a counselor working with kids, but I was laid-off which lead me into the passionate career I have now – working with families for the past 17 years in developing a plan to ensure their money is working towards what THEY want in life – whether it be funding college, saving for a dream home, or to ensure they can retire the way they want.
Many people think I just work with investments or insurance products. While I do, there’s so much more to financial planning. The process of planning is similar to that of a coach. We identify your goals (i.e. what you want out of life), I analyze your current financial position, develop real and down-to-earth strategies, make a plan of action….then monitor your progress. Financial planning is not a one-and-done experience. It’s dynamic and changes as much as you do and will follow you in real-time.
